1. Introduction To Acting  – The Essential Tools

What Is It?
Introduction To Acting gives a priceless insight into the professional tricks of the trade from a working actress’s perspective. The course will be led by Tilly Blackwood, a working Actress in the Industry for the last 20 years. She teaches weekly audition master classes at the renowned Actors Centre in Central London and has founded Audition Doctor in order to meet overwhelming demand. Participants will be encouraged to give constructive feedback to one another as part of the learning process.

Introduction to Acting is open to anyone who has always had a secret desire to be an actor or for anyone who didn’t feel confident enough to ever give it a try.

The only requirement for this course is to bring your enthusiasm, support for your fellow actors and a speech that you are passionate about and have learnt in advance. This makes the best use of the two hours and will help you realise your true potential.

Duration
The course lasts for 2 hours and will take place every Monday from 6pm – 8pm.

3. Acting  – An In-depth Approach

What The Course Is About?
The aim of the course is to give you all the skills and methods necessary to create a character, whilst instilling renewed confidence in your development as an actor.

What Will The Course Cover?
The course will be predominantly text based. You will be working on soliloquies, whilst receiving feedback, direction and support in a totally un pressurised environment. This course is aimed at giving confidence, not destroying it.

By The End Of the Course You Should Be Able To:
Use all the tools that you are given to create character in a new and insightful way.

What Level Is The Course?
Introduction to Acting is open to anyone who has a passion for acting but feels they need help in honing their skills. The groups will be small; 4 ideally in order to give everyone enough working time.

How Will I Be Taught?
The course will be led by Tilly Blackwood, a working Actress in the Industry for the last 20 years. She teaches weekly classes at the renowned Actors Centre in Covent Garden and has founded Audition Doctor as a result of her success there and as a way to better deal with demand. Participants will be encouraged to give constructive feedback to one another as part of the learning process.

What Should I Bring?
Two speeches, one to be Shakespeare; both to be learnt.

Duration
There will be one session a week for 2 hours, over a period of a month.
